High Capacity 80A, Solar MC4 connectors suitable for 10 sq mm cable- male & Female pair These connectors are suitable for crimping on to 10 sq mm cables.
The usual MC4 is suitable for 4 sq mm.
When multiple panel output solar energy is combined, current capacity needs to be high which will generate too much heat for 4 sq mm. Sometimes This will melt the MC4 causing damage.
10 sq mm wires and connectors will be suitable for current above 30A from the panels. These MC4 connectors are ideal for connecting to 10 sq mm solar wires.
They have a higher current carrying capacity up to 80 Amp.
